Meditation in Motion

Join us for a simple practice of mindful movement and intentional breath.

Together we slow down, regulate the nervous system, calm the mind, and create space for greater

awareness, balance, and healing.

Robbins Park SUMMER SERIES • Sundays at 7:00 AM (FREE)
Final Session: August 23, 2026

Meditation in Motion is a simple, science-supported way to reconnect with your body, reset your nervous system, and restore emotional balance.

It blends gentle movement, breath, and focused attention into an approachable daily practice.

No experience required. Just show up as you are.

Jason Scianno leads a group of participants in meditation in motion at Veterans Park.

This move is called "Looking and Carrying the Moon," one of 18 movements from Shibashi Qigong. Join us on Saturdays for a full line-up of meditative movements like this one.

Why Meditation in Motion?

Nervous System Reset

These movements help shift you out of "fight-or-flight" and into a more balanced state. You'll feel grounded, calm, and more focused.

Embodied Mindfulness

This is mindfulness in motion. Instead of sitting still, we use movement to anchor awareness and return to the present.

Emotional Regulation

Your body plays a key role in regulating emotions. Meditative movement helps you slow down and respond -- not just react.

Breathing with Intention

Each movement is guided by the breath. This gentle rhythm helps focus the mind while calming the body.

Stillness in Motion

Find quiet even while moving. This is a practice of soft awareness and slowing down in a busy world.

Daily Mental Health Practice

Just like brushing your teeth, a few minutes a day makes a big difference. Small steps lead to big change.

A Gentle Path to Presence

You don't need to "get it right." Your body already knows how to reconnect -- this practice is about listening.
