Building hope. Together, we will learn to embrace acceptance, explore alternative perspectives, release from unhelpful thoughts, be more present (mindfulness), identify and explore core values. You reconnect with what is most important to you; as well as gain confidence to follow through on your commitments. We will work towards creating a more fluid mindset to reduce stress, improve connection, self-awareness and experience a better quality of life.
Motivating change. We will explore how to use a set of skills/tools to develop healthy ways to cope with unwanted thoughts, feelings and behaviors. These skills provide a common language to explore what brings relief and balance. Together we will learn and practice ways to stay present focused on utilizing skills, mindfulness and meditation. This will help you to develop the ability to regulate your emotions and learn to build better relationships.
Stress reliever. Together we will utilize music and movement to reduce anxiety and depression, increase social connection, spark creativity and enhance well-being. Music and sound guide this mindful approach to help increase your immune system, self-esteem, find balance, and to better cope with life’s up and downs as well as embrace the present and enjoy life.
Finding calm in chaos. Some call it "Chinese Yoga." This ancient form of preventative medicine is derived from Chinese medicine over 5000 years ago (the mother of Tai Chi and Kung Fu). It incorporates slow, fluid, intentional movements, working together with coordinated breath. We will explore, discuss and practice these forms together. You are encouraged to continue your own practice. “Qi” translates to energy, life force energy, or the vitality with in all of us, and “gong” means to work or cultivate. Qigong therefore cultivates our life force energy by activating our internal and free resources of healing. Qigong has been reported to increase energy, reduce pain, anxiety, depression, increase strength, stamina, flexibility, better quality sleep, lower blood pressure, increase overall health and quality of life.
A qEEG is a digital process of recording the electrical energy of the brain at all 19 sites, also called a brain map. We record a snapshot of your brain wave activity, captured by using small, non-evasive electrodes or a cap, that record brain wave activity. Using this technology, we identify areas of the brain that are operating too fast or too slow, or not optimized. Information from the brain map can be used to help assess and train identified areas of the brain with neurofeedback. We also use this as a guide to track progress in training.

With Neurofeedback, we can assist you to improve these challenges via harmonizing your brain waves using technology. During the neurofeedback sessions, your brain “learns” how to bring abnormally fast or slow waves into the normal range. You sit back and watch a movie or other images and sounds while we monitor your brain waves and achieve optimal brain function; which results in a reduction or elimination of negative symptoms.
